[January 2026] I am officially in my position as a Postdoc at KTH! 

[December 2025] A manuscript titled "On Variant Reorientation of α-martensite of Ti-10V-2Fe-3Al Alloy" is in the status of Under Review in the journal Acta Materialia. Best wishes with it!

[December 2025] My proposal for the Postdoc Mobility fellowship was approved by SNSF. Great job, Junfeng!

[December 2025] I was awarded the SVMT Outstanding PhD student of EDMX, EPFL. A wonderful achievement! 

[November 2025] I was offered a Postdoc position at KTH, Stockholm, Sweden. I will be working on the Laser-Induced Particle Impact Test (LIPIT). I will be in position on 4th January, 2026. Let's roll! 

[September 2025] I successfully presented my oral presentation at the ICOMAT conference in Prague

[31 July 2025] A manuscript titled "Rationalizing deformation modes coupling and microstructure evolution in a metastable beta titanium alloy under varied strain rates: experiments and modeling insight" was submitted to the journal Acta Materialia. Best wishes with it.

[7 July - 11 July 2025] I successfully presented my oral presentation at the PTM conference in Delft.

[17 December 2024] The paper titled "Microstructure and Texture Evolution in Laser Shock Peened Martensitic NiTi Shape Memory Alloy" has been accepted by Materials & Design! My fifth paper during my PhD program!!! Will I have more? It is not clear yet.

[12 December 2024] Successfully completed my third-year annual report with Prof. Roland, Christian, and Cyril. Thanks, all!

[10 December 2024] A manuscript about the prediction of Junction Planes of type-II twin between martensite variants in NiTi alloys has been completed!

[05 December 2024] A new manuscript about the study of martensite reorientation by Transmission Kikuchi Diffraction (TKD) is completed and reviewed by my supervisor Dr. Cyril Cayron.

[07 November 2024] A manuscript submitted to Materials & Design has been revised and resubmitted with the status under review.

[24 October 2024] A new paper, "The role of interaction work in martensite deformation," has been accepted in Scripta Materialia. First paper appearing in this journal! Bravo!
